For $5/ticket you're able to purchase cancellation insurance, giving you the option to cancel and receive a full refund for any reason by calling us at least 4 hours before your activity start time. If you do not buy cancellation insurance, your reservation is non-refundable. If we deem the weather to be dangerous (lightning, extreme temperatures etc.), we encourage you to reschedule. There is not an extra charge to reschedule.
While the sky over Texas is normally bright and sunshiny of course it sometimes rains!
We ride rain or shine unless there's flash flooding, lightning or hazardous trail conditions. Unless you hear from us, we will be ready for you at your scheduled time. Upon request, at your arrival, we provide rain slickers to help keep you dry if it is raining.
If the weather is dangerous or too uncomfortable to ride horses in at the time of your ride, you have the option to reschedule within 6 months because we don't want you to miss out on the horseback riding experience.
If you purchased cancellation insurance and decide to not ride because of bad weather, you will receive a full refund. If Brazos Bluffs cancels because of bad weather conditions, whether or not you purchased the insurance, we will give you a full refund.
As a Certified Horsemanship Association accredited facility, we're able to accomodate most guests regardless of their previous horseback riding experience. However, all riders must be able to mount, dismount, start, steer and stop their own horse and be able to follow basic horseback riding safety instructions. If our guides deem a rider to be unable to safely ride a horse, we will not allow them to ride.
